Lampoon is an annual Wayne State University School of Medicine Tradition. Hosted by the Aesculapians, Lampoon is a comedy show satirizing medical education and the experiences of medical students at Wayne State. Additionally, faculty are honored annually with teaching awards presented by the student body.
Lampoon allows the Aesculapians to raise money for a local Detroit charity, the Charity of the Year, while providing an opportunity for medical students to have some fun and blow off steam while taking a break from the challenges of their education. The event is not just for medical students or faculty and is open to all members of the community.
